Things to know
Cypress Bay Volleyball has a proud tradition of quality and winning
The teams are highly competitive and acquiring a position on a team requires preparation before tryouts
Physical testing including speed and agility, endurance and conditioning will be the first phase of tryouts. Athletes not passing this phase will not be moving forward.
Cypress will offer no summer training. We expect our athletes to show up to tryouts in top physical and playing form.
Trying out for this team means you are committing to practices and games with no exception other than medical reasons. Anyone with affiliations to Clubs and other social activities should consider participating before overloading their schedule.
We emphasize the word Student in the phrase Student/Athlete. It is the players responsibility to manage their time to be efficient in both.
The teams will be composed of 20 active and 10 practice players total for both JV and Varsity. All 30 athletes will compete throughout the season for playing spots.
A disciplined and proud representation of our school, our program and our team will be required 100% of the time
Everyone wanting to tryout for the team will be given an equal opportunity
Making this team does not guarantee playing time. The athletes in this team must understand roles.
